I've decided to share with you all this quick & healthy way to make your breakfast as a great alternative to save money and cut down on calories as I've introduced it to my health journey. In the mornings when I'm in a rush, this is my go-to breakfast not only because it is filling but because most of these ingredients are metabolism-boosting foods. If you're looking into summer shredding to get your beach body ready, it is essential that you start your morning meals off with foods that boost your metabolism in order to burn off the most amount of calories throughout your day. This doesn't only apply to when you are working out, you can go about your day even at your job and burn about twice as much calories if you include these ingredients in your diet.

To start off, Greek Yogurt is packed with protein and probiotics to maintain your body in its' healthiest state. Personally, I hate eating Greek Yogurt alone because of its thick consistency so I always mix it together in my Magic Bullet with fruits to give it more flavor. Although Greek Yogurt has great benefits, you need to look out for some brands that contain an excessive amount of sugars. The Greek Yogurt I've tried so far that has less sugars than most brands is The Dannon Light & Fit Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt that has only 9g of sugar and 22g of protein. An alternative to Greek Yogurt is Lactaid Lowfat Gluten Free Cottage Cheese with only 3g of sugar and 12g of protein.

I'm sure you've heard a dozen times why Almonds are amazing for weight loss but I just need to reiterate that they provide so much more health benefits besides that. Not only do they lower LDL Cholesterol but they also have been proven to reduce the risk of heart disease. Given that they have an endless amount of antioxidants this is one of the primary reasons why nutritionists strongly advocate eating at least 8-12 almonds daily.

Berries, much like Chia Seeds, both contain high amounts of antioxidants and nutrients with very few calories (they're definitely no-brainer ingredients!) Berries have been proven to reduce the risk of Cancer, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's Disease. You may think Chia seeds contain a lot of carbs when looking at the nutritional label but really almost all the carbs in them are fiber which your body needs to increase fullness and help reduce calorie intake. Chia seeds even contain more Omega-3's than salmon which is a lean protein recommended for weight loss as well.

Next time you're having breakfast try these toppings instead of granola or cereal which is actually really bad for you containing way too many sugars and artificial sweeteners. Comment down below with any questions or what your favorite healthy breakfast meals are!

P.S: Don't consider these foods as part of your "diet." A diet is a punishment ultimately consisting of foods you wouldn't regularly pick up. You should consider them as part of your healthier & holistic lifestyle instead, that way you'll be inclined to grab a bunch of almonds for a snack rather than a bag of chips.

Thanks for stopping by,
❤ Ivette
